Does anyone know why win 98 will not install onto my second hard drive? It ran fine with my old P4 1.7 cpu but a recent change to a P4 2.4 seems to have upset it. I have formatted and reinstalled but cannot complete setup before system crashes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You need to check that the drive is set as slave. on top of the drive should be a diagram showing you the three settings, the jumpers are located on the back of the drive.
Once that is done, make sure the drive is formatted to FAT32.
