Question Can you Run Vista

I was wondering if my system could run the Vista OS ? so after a bit of searching i found Vista Upgrade Advisor at CNet > Here My result Here
Note if your HDDs are partitioned the test shows the largest partitions

Great find Cyberbabe. Are you planning to upgrade the PC to Vista? I know my current PC will not meet the Vista specs, but I hope to upgrade in 2-3 months.

Hi Rob

Yes i hope to purchase Vista later this year and install as a dual boot option as my system contains two internal HDDs each partitioned, so i have HDD1 150GB partitioned as C:, D:, HDD2 200GB partitioned as E:, F:, so i would install Vista in E:, but i will be waiting for SP1 to be released in Vista before i buy, would you run Vista as a dual boot option or install as your only OS Rob ?

As Vista SP1 has come out already, i would keep Vista on its own, my own preference, although i suppose you got to have good hardware to keep vista running smoothly or sometimes it does crash (from experience)

Asus 680i too many hard drives
q6600 @ 2700mhz Antec 900 case
4 gigs ddr2 800

Looks like a high performance machine you have there Silver. I have yet to move to Vista, although I probably will soon.

Thanks for the feedback.
