delete problem

I'm trying to delete an mpg file (I use windows xp) and get the message that the file can't be deleted because it is being used by another person or program. How can I delete that file? Thanks

If you click here you will be re-directed to the 'How To' forum which will explain how to easily delete them (MPG and AVI) un-deletable files.

What happens is that Explorer tries to read the file, but if it is corrupted and cannot be read, it holds on to the file, thus saying it is in use by another program.
