windows xp help!

i am currently running windows xp proffessional and i seem to have some unknown files messing up keyboard/mouse functions and ie functions.. these files come with random untraceable names such as.. VvvMFLvs.exe, QrsPr.exe etc.. also i've had advertisements pop up.. out of nowhere (ie not running) I have already run many virus scanners and removed all possible spyware files on the computer.. any help would be appreciated..

Did you fix the items that it found via the program, or only run and list them.

actually i found the problem... it was a pesky virus called BKDR_SANDBOX.A which makes all those files.. which in turn redownloads itself everytime you delete one of those files and it hides it's in a temporary folder deep in the documents and settings folder! the only virus scanner that picked it up was housecall

I am glad you have got it worked out. Some viruses hide very well. I have had good luck with pccillian from trendmicro for a virus scanner.
