i can see that java is on my pc i have looked in the folders but when ever i encounter a site that requires java script i can't access it. then it prompts me to download it and it never works help please.

Can you go to Internet Explorer, then from the tools menu select Internet Options, then select advanced. Then look down through that and look for any entry that says java or Microsoft VM.

Tell us here what they say and if they are selected.

i can't see any entry that says that i just bought this pc from the store 2 months ago and all was well what should i try now?

i searched my c drive and found 91 files with java in them not one with microsoft vm i just am confused why is is being a bugger.

You should'nt need to search your 'C' drive, just follow Rob's instructions, if you are reading this then explorer is open. Just click on tools at the top and follow what Rob says.

You have clicked on 'Tools' at the top of the screen (next to help) right? Then click on Internet Options, then click on the 'Advanced Tab' and the third heading down should be Microsoft VM.

Good! now make sure that box is checked then shut down your browser and re-start it and all should be fine now.

Just to be clear: JavaScript != (does not equal) Java

You can try uninstall Java and then goto www.java.com for the latest version of Java.
