windows xp pro setup fatal error

I was given a laptop to fix but I am stumped it starts to laod win xp pro then I get win xp setup is starting then a message fatal system error appears windows subsystem system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of0xc000000(0x75e91dob 0x0066f068)The system has been shut down.

could be a lot of things....

bad hardware [memory, cpu, motherboard]

bad drivers

bad system files

Try booting in safe mode if you haven't already. If that doesn't work, try a bare bone configuration.

can't get in safe mode it won't load windows.what is bare bone configuration?could it be an error in the windows system should I try to format hard drive and apply new windows if so can you tell me the steps to take thanks alot

google how to format - I'm sure there are a lot of guides to explain what to do :-)

Have you tried booting with the XP CD to do the reinstall?

I have not tried to reinstall windows I am waiting for the disk to be sent to me but I will try it thanks
