Upgrading from Win98 to Windows XP

Here is a great knowledge base article on upgrading to Windows XP from Windows 98 or Windows ME.

Wolfeymole is on a distinguished road
Although this post is very old it it is still very relevant.
I must point out though that should anyone be still running 98 or ME an upgrade to XP can cause all kinds of problems.
Don't even think about installing XP unless you have a hard drive over 5GB, XP will take 1.5GB of it straight away.
I have run XP on a 266mhz cpu with 128mb of ram and it was as slow as a snail, triple it and you will have something that runs fairly decently.
The caveat is that once you start putting system intensive programs in it it will suck the life out of it.
In other words get a new pc.
