Installed XP over Win95.. mistake!!

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I'm asking for help on behalf of my mother who is not so computer savvy.
You see, we have a very old computer which came with Windows 95.. over the years WinME and WinXP had also been installed.. which in turn just stuffed the computer completely. We've had our fair share of trojans, viruses, missing files... EXTREMELY SLOW loading.. etc etc.. and we've spent a TON on just trying to fix it up.
My mother doesn't want to buy a new computer, but the thing is.. the two CD-roms that came with the computer (masters) are MISSING.. and now I do not know how to put it back and make everything right again. She just wants the computer to be clean slate.
Please help!!!!! Sorry for being a bit lengthy....

You should write or phone Packard Bell and tell them the serial number which will be located somewhere on the case. They should be able to supply you with new discs.

the computer is now fixed

. i was able to get identical cds from a friend with the same computer. thanks everyone who replied for their suggestions.
