disk read error on laptop running xp professional
hi,

joined forum to hopefully find someone to guide me to fixing my problem.

my laptop which is running xp professional is displaying "a disk error occurred"
"please press ctl alt del to reboot" i have dony this a few times with no luck.

have tried pressing esc on re-boot to check bios which seems ok

dont know what to do next.

it was working fine when i switched it off the start up gave me this problem can anyone help please
