Microsoft Office Startup

I have an item named Microsoft Office (Start, Programs, Startup). Do I really need microsoft office to start?! Can I remove it? I don't know, I am trying to remove objects from startup as possible since I have only 128MB and XP.

Target: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\OSA.EXE" -b -l

That is the office Search Assistant. You can remove it from startup, but it will slow down your searches that you would do from the office app.
