i can't install this program

when I put 'The Sims' CD in my drive auto play does not start but starts with other CD's and when i double click on start nothing happens but when i load up task manager and click on processes it says setup.exe and when i shut down my computer when i have taken the CD out a popup comes up saying that there is no Sims CD in the drive and it says 'continue' 'retry' and 'abort' and when i put the CD back in and click retry my comuter shuts down.

First remove the virus (from your other post) then try again.
Verify the Cd is OK by trying to install it on another PC, it may be a bad copy.

the sims cd works fine on another XP Computer. when i right click on the program 'Start' and click Run as... and click administrator and type in the password it also says that i do not have the permission to open this file.
