screen shots

I have been reading some of the letters and one refers to screen shots.
I would like to know more about how you do this, is it something like copy and past?

It is a lot like copy paste. If you hit the print screen button located next to f12 on your keyboard it will take a picture (if you will) of what is on your screen. You won't notice anything when you do it but if you open word (or other e-mail and pic software) and hit paste you will paste the picture of your screen in the document.

Alan will become famous soon enough
There is also programs to do it, have a look at this post.
Pressing prt scr takes a screenshot of the whole screen, sometimes that is not practicle, but certainly the easiest way, although of course you can crop the pic.
