slow inspiron laptop

Hi all I have a slow inspiron4100 it has windows 2000 professional. I have cleaned the cookies/history, did a disk defrag., and used an optimized software program which is from PC PITSTOP. and I have a total of 576 ram, any ideas on how to make it faster? any decesnt websites that does virus scans? and deletes them?

I did the virus scan and it didn't delete them.

you can try the online scan from kaspersky.list what viruses you have that will help us to help you get rid of them.

Maybe I missed something but didnt delete what?

Look in the review section and download a reg cleaner, disk cleaner and optimizer, they should help.

As Pharoah already said, you should have an antivirus program and I would suggest at least two anti spyware programs installed and running.
