need help tracing photo origin

hi people

i've been searching through 'my received files' today and a certain photograph got me curious

i wish to know where it was downloaded from

i tried looking at properties but because it was saved through my digital camera software it just lists that as the origin

is there any way i can establish the original source?

If your photo is just a bmp or jpeg file I dont know how you can trace its download source. I dont know if any other members has experience of this but its new to me. I tried searching for info at the microsoft site and globally on google but turned up no results.
You could try deleting the photo and keeping a close eye on what is being downloaded and uploaded.

I do not believe you can track it's download source either. Sorry.

If by "Received Files" you mean the Received Files folder where files are put when you transfer them on MSN Messenger, then I think the only way you can find out is to ask those on your contacts list if they sent the picture, and any other information you want to know about it. Otherwise you could find out the date it was put there in Properties, and look in your internet browser history for websites that were visited on that same day, and do a little "old fashioned investigating" that way. But like Alan and Rob said, I don't know of any way to find that out automatically with a function on your PC, sorry.
