Exclamation Urgent Help Needed

I have a Compaq PC running Windows XP sp2.

The problem is I forgot my password and there are no other users on the computer. How can I get In to the Computer?

Please help me.

If you still have the manual for the motherboard, it should tell you where to locate a password reset jumper switch. If not, remove the bios battery for 20 minutes, that should reset it.

Thanks, I will try that.

Will that be located in the same place on all motherboards? or will it be in a different place for other types of motherboards.

It will be in a different place on different motherboards. If you have the manual, it should show you where to find it. Alternatively post the motherboard type and we will try to look it up for you.

Ophcrack is a free password recovery tool. Take a look at their website, it should do what you need.

Another way, if you mean the user password, is this:
Log on as an administrator.
Click Start then Run and type control userpasswords2 then click OK.
Click the name of the user account that you want to reset the password for and then click Reset Password.
Type a new password in the New password box and then type the password again in the Confirm new password box and then click OK.
Restart the computer and log in using the new password.
