i am using windows 2000 on my pc but would like to save my work onto a cd and install it onto my laptop which is xp,how do i do this?

What sort of work is it you want to save? If its Word docs, Powerpoint presentations, Excel worksheets or Access databases, just go ahead and save it to disc. Office XP can read and convert them. If its another program of sorts, lets us know what it is and we will advise you further.

thank you, i really wanted to install microsoft works from my pc onto my laptop without connecting my laptop to the internet, is this possible? Also,i don't know how to put anything onto a disc.

You will need your Microsoft Works Installation Disc to install it, you cannot just copy the files across. If you want to burn files etc to CD just use your favorite burning software ( there are many), WinXP has its own CD burner but you can use which ever you want. If you are stuck on how to copy data to CD tell me which burner you are going to use and I will tell you how to do it.
