Computer slow and download games disappearing

I am having major problems with my pc at the moment. It is very slow at accessing the internet and deleting emials etc. I also have a gmae i downloaded from the internet it stopped working so i redownloaded it. It has gone from the programs list and now im unable to find or play the game.I duno what else i can do about this ihave tried 4 times to get this game to download into programs to play it but it just keeps disapearing.The sameis happening with AOL instant messanger i have no icons etc on my icons page please help me

First thing I would is virus check your machine, assuming all is OK download and run AdAware. I had a problem similar to yours and it was due to the amount of Spy and Adware on my machine. After all that, download and run 'spywareblaster' it stops spyware from installing itself onto your hard-drive and both programs are free!
