Right now if you go into a big box store all machines will be loaded with Vista.
When asked if I could put Windows XP professional the only way they would do this was to actually purchase windows xp and service pack. Microsoft if making sure that Vista gets its start by using Vista as the primary operating system. So if you purchase a new computer the techs have to take a virgin
machine use the XP you purchased, charge you another fee and they still load up Vista. Again the way to beat that build your own and when Vista gets cleaned up then I will load it up. Vista is making many computers and especially laptops out of date as the memory is embedded in the graphics card of the mother board making it impossible to upgrade hardware because of imcompatibility. It would be foolish to try and monkey with a laptop to change mother boards because of propriety issues. Older desk tops again because of case design it may be impossible for you to properly install a new mother board and cpu just for graphics to operate Vista. Doc Ferguson
