Make local account domain account???

I have a few pcs at home. I have just installed win2k3 on one of them, and set it up as a domain controller, DHCP and DNS server.
Now I go back to my XP pro machine and join the domain. I now have the choice to login to the domain, or to the local pc. I don't want to do this. I want to log onto the same account as I was using before, but have access to the network resources.
Can I copy my local user profile to my network account or something similar???
Sorry if this post lacks clarity. If you need any more info, just ask. Thanx for your help.

Kind of, but I want to do it more the other way around.
That adds domain users to the local user database, but I want to add local users to the domain.
I want to have my apps, profile, desktop etc as I do now, but also have access to domain resources.

Sorry about getting it wrong way round, this is just not my field of expertise so while we wait for the networking experts to write down the correct procedure maybe this link is more helpful or maybe this one .

Post

I am afraid you can't .
Explanation
Local users are stored in the local security database (sam), and your domain users are stored in active directory....
Hope that helps...

RTFM
