Question intermixing routers

Hi,
I have a tiscali router which is a Thomson speed touch 330. My question is could I revert back to my BT Voyager 205 ADSL Router to improve the speed of my internet connection which seems to be a lot slower with the Thomson than it was with the Voyager.
Appreciate any advice,
Thankyou Senor solo.

Thank you for your response Pharoah. I accept your suggestion but the reason for my question is that I am a newby to the computer world and am frightened of losing what I have on the computer. I am not fully conversant with the workings. Every time I do anything I seem to bring on problems.
Thank you anyway.
Senor solo.

Hi senor solo, The BT Voyager 205 ADSL Router has one ethernet port and one USB port depending on your ISP the ethernet should be OK for your connection (most of BTs routers are made by Tomson, as is the BT Home Hub)- (and the new Black one)
