Cool Who Is Mr. Enigma?

I play around (NOT recommended, if you don’t know what you are doing) with my registry quite often with various tweaks, and came across this:
In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\Microsoft I came across an empty key named Mr. Enigma. My first thoughts was it spyware? nope my system is locked up tighter than Fort Knox. Is it Dr Watsons new side kick, I don’t think so. So what or who is Mr. Enigma? And more to the point, why is it present on a clean install of XP?
After a bit of digging and mooching around at Microsoft, this is the explanation I got.
It relates to a workaround for supporting region encoding for DVD RPC Phase 1 drives on Windows 95. There is no point to having this key in XP and Microsoft plan to remove it, possibly with an up and coming service pack.
As for the name Mr. Enigma, Microsoft said it was an internal joke which they did not want to share.
