| oldie but a goody
i decided to post about an older laptop from ams tech who went under in 2000.pentium2 300mhz,256mb ram,60gb hdd.now i know what your thinking already he made a type-o on the hard drive.nope i put a newer drive in it.what is kinda strange for this almost 8 year old laptop.the folks at the shop said that old piece of junk with 98 will never be able to id,and use the full 60gb.well we see who had the last laugh.
for an older unit it still works very well no speed demon of course.i still have its original 4gb hard drive which still works fine.<(one for the hdd longevity thread hehe.) in fact its old to the point anything newer than windows 98 the video wont work properly no newer drivers.its original ram was good i put new ram in it.new battery as well.for internet i did install a fairly new linksys wireless pcmcia card.all in all for what i got in it i like the little thing.as long as this machine has lasted its truly a shame this company went out 7 years ago.
