DIsconnects when entering a secure site

When i access a web site such as Hotmail my internet connection disconnects! I use Xp. Does anyone no how to change the setting?

How are you accessing the web Nathan86? modem, adsl, broadband, router?
Is it all secure sites you have this problem with or just Hotmail?

just through a dialup connection. And it is with all secure sites! As soon as i click ok to the warning that says i am about to veiw pages on a secure site.

Try This:
Open IE, go to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced. The SSL and TLS options should be checked. Try that, if it does not work, try this next:
Click Start.
Click Run.
Type regsvr32 softpub.dll
Click OK. A pop-up should display with the message Dll Register Server in softpub.dll Succeeded.
Click OK.
