Access Denied

Hi People,

I'm getting close to losing it now, desperatly hoping someone can shed somelight on the situation.......

I have networked my computer with my mums (unfortunatly i have to work with my mum as well as having computer problems!) She is acting as the host computer. We have set up a Broadband connection which we both share on the network. I can access her files and she can see mine. i can also check my e mails and go on msn through her internet connection. She can also view webpages and everything is normal on her machine.

However, when i go onto the internet to view a webpage i get the message saying: You were denied access becuase: Access Denied by Access Control List. I can check and recieve e mails but i can't send them?!

Does anyone know how i can solve this, i'm sure its something simple but our computer knowledge is limited! I have tried changing her security settings and have taken off her windows xp firewall.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Try connecting your PC to internet via your modem. If all works well then it is highly likely that (if your mum has the main account) that your permissions are denied and you need to look at the account settings.
