| sporadic internet connection
Hello and happy new year to you all!
We have a problem with our internet. We are running windows xp and have avast antivirus installed, which we run alongside windows defender and spybot. I have run scans in safe mode and no virus/spyware is detected. However our access to internet pages is sporadic and we get the "this webpage cannot be displayed message", however when I pinged our address and the dns server, there were no problems and the computer checks have all indicated that our connection/modem is fine. Please can you suggest any further action we might be required to take.
