search bar history

whenever i go to put a word in a search bar or in fact just things where u have to put in details, all my previous searches/details are there. sometimes if i go to pay for something online i'l begin to put my card details in and they'l just pop up. this is not clever. anyone know where these details are stored and how to delete them? i've tried deleting cookies and temp internet files and everything is gone except this.

Download CCleaner from here.
After installation, run it, but make sure everything in the left hand pane is checked. (See Screenshot).
Take note that it will delete all your stored passwords etc.!

Failing that, We need to know your operating system, browser and which if any, toolbars you have installed.

You may find in your browser at the top of the page "TOOLS" in the drop down look for Clean Browser History and there may be other options for cleaning.
