Page not found

Hi

When I try and access a page on the internet using MS IE or Mozilla Firefox an alert box pops up saying:

"Alert!
Google could not be found. Please try again"

Its the same for any sites I try to access.

It basically means that I can't get on the internet.

I'd be really grateful if anyone might have some suggestions!

well first off your lan port isnt disabled is it.also in internet options is it set to automatically detect the network.

Do you use dial up to access the internet or some form of broadband?

It's broadband. Just got a sky package. However, it was happenning with my previous ISP, so I think it's a problem with the settings somewhere.
