hi i'm knew to this site i was wondering if anyone could help me. on sunday we had a power cut while i was on the internet. when the power came back on i went on the internet and noticed that all the websites where i use passwords and usernames wouldn't automatically log me on and i had to type in my passwords and usernames. i've had to this everytime i go on the internet. does this have anything to do with my cookies.any help would be appreciated

Very possible, on a power failure, depending on what you were doing, something got corrupted.
Try deleting all your cookies, off line content etc in the Internet options window.
I assume you dont have any thing like CCleaner installed that will do it for you so open up I.E. and click on 'Tools' then on 'Internet Alternative' delete your cookies and internet files including off line content then try again.
Let us know the results.
