Ok, here's how you can edit registry values. Please make sure you do a backup fo the important stuff you have before messing out with the registry, because if it's corrupted it can stop Windows from functioning properly, or from booting again.
After that, go to
Start /
RUN / and type
REGEDIT
On the left hand side you will see directories, all beginning with HKEY, with a '+' on their side. To open one of them simply click on the '+' (and '-' to close it back). Now the registry values you want to find are:
Quote:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\window_placement
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Desktop\OldWorkAreas\OldWorkAreaRects |
HKCU stands for
HKEY_CURRENT_USER ... so click on the '+' on it s side and you'll see a number of directories, then keep finding the next one (which is 'SOFTWARE', click on the '+' sign) ... and keep going down until you're at
MAIN. Click on
MAIN and on the RIGHT select
window_placement and press DELETE. Do the same for the second one, except that you should click on
OLDWORKAREAS, choose
OldWorkAreaRects from the right and delete.
