| How To Make Firefox Open Where It Left Off Those of you who use Firefox probably know that you can bookmark an entire group of open tabs, which is handy in case you need to access all those open sites again later. If you dont, pull down the Bookmarks tab, then click Bookmark All Tabs. The feature is also useful in cases where you need to reboot your computer but would like to go straight to the sites you had open before rebooting.
But, there's a little-known setting you can adjust in Firefox 2.0 and above that will tell it to remember what sites were open when it shutdown and automatically open those same sites again when it starts back up. To enable that feature in Firefox, perform the following steps:
Type about:config into the URL location bar.
In the search field that appears at the top, enter browser.startup.page.
Double-click the entry that appears and set its value to 3.
Done!
In Firefox 2.0 and higher, you can get this feature without manually editing about:config.
To do so, select Show My Windows and Tabs From Last time in Tools/Options/Main/Startup. |
