Microsoft backup - Incompatabilities !!!!!!

I backed up a number of files, using MS backup on Windows 3.1.
When I try to restore this backup file to another computer using Windows 2000, it won't have it and doesn't recognise the MS backup W3.1 file.

Is this the case, and can it be got round ????

Unfortunately, I dont think there is a way around it. Windows 3.1 is so old, there is no support for it now.
