System Cleaners

I have several system cleaners installed, and they are doing a great job Some of them are asking me to remove the defs.ref.old, which is the file where old 'Ad-Aware' (I don't know if others use the same name) spyware definitions are stored. Since now I have not cleared/removed it. But afterall, is it safe to remove this defs.ref.old?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, as the prefix tells you (.old) that file is not needed as the new definitions are in force and that file is just a backup of the old definitions.
