Buying a Laptop

Hi, I'm thinking of buying a new laptop. I don't much about computers so I'm asking around for opinions.

I only plan to use it for writing papers and a Cubase(music program). I don't plan on using the internet with it.

Here's one i'm looking at right now: http://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/...82E16834149018

Any thought and/or opinions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi crazytown

Before proceding, would you mind telling us what is your budget? How much do you want to invest on this laptop?

Anyways, the specs of this laptop are just fine I mean, for word processing you don't need lots of power. 3GHz and 512MB or Ram should be fine for that.

Here's a direct link to the specs:

if you are buying a laptop for school you will need a combination of battery life and power i would suggest a centrino model good midrange unit around 1.6 ghz would do nicely because thses units do have good power and battery life i have a laptop with a 1.3 ghz pentium m "aka centrino" and to just let ya know it has more power
than the clock speed would suggest i used to run a game server on this laptop for the microsoft game freelancer 10 players and myself playing on that laptop and no lag what so ever and that is more than enough processing power for your needs

If You Feel We Have Helped You,and You Would Like To DONATE That Would Be Appreciated
