Wanting to rid computer of Norton.

Hello everyone,
My subscription of Norton I S '07 is about over, and I need to know the best way to get it off my system completely. Have decided to get rid of the HOG. Any suggestion?
My concern is me not being very good at computer stuff, removing it will cause a bunch of headaches for me.

Thanks in advance for your help.

First of all, I've never had Norton, but I've heard it's a pain to remove it.

First thing I would do is browse the Add/Remove Programs through the Control Panel and remove every single piece of software related to Norton / Symantec; if you haven't done so already. This should remove it completely, but since we are aware of some users having problems with the removal of Norton, if you encounter any come back to us and we'll guide you

If you want free a antivirus program, this link will help.
If you a subscription antivirus then Kaspersky is always up there at the top along with BitDefender and F-Secure.
